In order for you to become a registered member and have full access to the site, your completed profile must approved by the site administrator. If for any reason you are unwilling or unable to comply with the Sign Up Rules or Site Specifics, please DO NOT CREATE A PROFILE!! Site Specifics are listed in the left hand side of the page.
HOW TO SIGN UP:
To become registered, just click on "Sign Up" and fill out your profile information by entering your FIRST and LAST name in the NAME Field and answer all of the required questions. In order to be approved, you must put your FIRST and LAST name on your profile. NO NICKNAMES, INITIALS or FIRST NAME only. Make sure you fill out everything correctly, or it will delay the approval. Your profile will be declined, a "Pending Approval" email will be sent from the administrator and you will have to re-submit your profile again. If you have questions about how to fill out your profile, feel free to contact the administrator at: karlarenee73@yahoo.com
Upon approval you will receive full access to the site. Once you are a member, be sure to check out the "Dega Notes" section for important site information as well as the "Dega Announcements" section on the main page which is updated almost daily. You can also join a group, post a video, blog or add an event. I am making changes daily so keep checking back for new stuff!

DEGA ALUMNI PROFILE CRACKDOWN
Hello Degans,
For the past week, I have been reviewing all member profiles. Lately I have had a lot of spam coming through the site, so I have to take extra steps to ensure that we are all protected. This week I will be sending notes to members who profiles that do not meet the site rules/criteria. If you do not update your profile as required, I will be deleting it from the site. I will also delete profiles of those who have had NO ACTIVITY on the site for more than a year. I understand that not everyone has time to browse on social networking sites, but I have to make sure that we are all protected. Just to give you an idea of what I am talking about, I have seen members who have had no contact with others on this site for a long period of time which is a sign of suspicious behavior.
If you receive an email regarding your profile, there is a link in the note that will take you to the Profile Instructions. Per the site rules ALL members must have their FIRST and LAST name under their profile photo. If you have a nickname, alias, maiden name etc. That can be included in your profile name. Below you will see some examples of what is acceptable for the site. If you have any questions regarding this matter, feel free to email me through the site.

DEGA ALUMNI SITE SPECIFICS
1. PROFILE PHOTOS - You Must Add Your First and Last Name to your profile picture. Nicknames can be added in quotes. This is to maintain continuity of the site and reduce the creation of false profiles.
2. LANGUAGE - Profanity is prohibited and should not be used in profiles, comments, forums, blogs, or anywhere on the Dega Alumni Network.
3. PHOTOS - Please use your best judgment and post photos that are in GOOD TASTE. You have the option of changing pics as often as you like. ALL PHOTOS DEEMED INAPPROPRIATE WILL BE DELETED.
4. FORUMS, GROUPS, EVENTS or BLOGS - Any member may create a Forum, Group, Event or Blog. Please be mindful of content, and refrain from nudity, profanity, or topics that may be inappropriate for this Network. Check categories to make sure your Forum is in the right place. If you need a category created please contact me and I will create one for you.
5. EMAIL & ADD A FRIEND - Please note the "envelope" and "person" icons at the top of the page. You have the capability to e-mail your friends privately and accept friend requests.
6. HELLO BOX - Please note the "Hello" box in the upper right hand side of your page. In this box you can view your friends, inbox and change your settings. There is also a "Quick Add" menu to add videos, events, discussions etc.
7. TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES - If you experience any technical difficulties, contact the Ning Help Center directly at: http://help.ning.com You can also use the "Report an Issue" link on the bottom of the page.
8. ISSUES/PROBLEMS - If you experience any problems with another member of the network, please let me know ASAP so that I may take the appropriate steps to resolve the issue. Again, you can use the "Report an Issue" link on the bottom of the page. I hope none of you will ever have to use it. ;-)
9. SECURITY - Dega Alumni is a secure site. No one has access to this network without a username or password. All members are approved by the site administrator prior to membership.
